Learn Who We Are and Why We Created Switch It Up

Who We Are

We are members of the entertainment community who have seen—and in some cases experienced firsthand—the challenges of finding alternatives to the traditional education system. Through our work and connections, we’ve witnessed how nontraditional work schedules can make existing educational options a difficult fit for many families in our community.

We’ve also connected with professionals across other industries who face similar educational challenges. These families—and many homeschoolers—are seeking educational options that truly support alternative schedules. It’s this need that inspired us to create Switch It Up.

Our Mission: What We Do and Why It Matters

Switch It Up is a 501(c)(3) whose mission is to provide educational programs, activities, experiences, and opportunities to benefit children and families.

Switch It Up was founded in order to maximize family time, give families flexibility, and assist them with educational support on their schedule. We want to change how people think about raising a family with alternative educational needs. Through flexible enrichment programs including courses, clubs, camps, field trips, and educational events, we support these families seeking alternative options that better fit their schedule.

Who We Serve

We support families across many situations, including:

Families with non–Monday–Friday, 9–5 schedules or who work evenings or weekends
Children who only need a few hours of group education per day
Homeschoolers seeking support in specific subjects or social, academic, and enrichment opportunities that fit their schedule
Children who learn better in small, focused groups
Children who thrive in late-day or evening learning environments
Families who travel often for sports, work, or entertainment commitments

Built For The Community, By The Community!

Together, we’re building something meaningful! Switch It Up was created to give more opportunities for families to thrive—supporting children’s academic success, personal growth, and stronger family connections.

Whether your children join our programs, you share your ideas, volunteer your skills, or simply spread the word, you’re contributing to a new educational experience designed to meet the needs of families in our community who, until now, have had limited options.
