Frequently Asked Questions
What is an alternative schedule?
An alternative schedule is one that does not fit the typical Monday to Friday, 9-5 schedule. This could mean families that work afternoons, evenings, weekends, or families that want flexible hours/days for enrichment.
What ages are you enrolling?
We are starting with enrolling 6–10 year olds, with select programs also welcoming ages 5 and 11–14. Our programs are designed to grow with your children — each year, we expand our age range so kids can continue their journey with us as they get older. Older ages can open sooner with enough interest.
How do I enroll?
Please fill out our interest form at this link and enrollment paperwork will be sent out when we find our location.
Are you a school?
Switch it Up is not a school, we are an enrichment and group tutoring center catering to any school aged child that needs additional help in various subjects as well as homeschooled children.
How do I sign my child up to homeschool?
In Nevada statutes NRS 388D.010-.070, homeschooling means the parent is responsible to “direct the education of the child”. Please visit this website for more information on your Homeschool Notice of Intent and Educational Plan. https://nevadahomeschoolnetwork.com/homeschool-support/new-homeschoolersgetting-started/quick-start-guide/. We can also guide you with questions as needed.
Do you give out grades?
We are an enrichment center and not a school, therefore we do not give traditional grades. Instead, we provide assessments every 3 months as children move through different levels mastering new concepts and skills.
How do you track my child’s progress?
We provide assessments every 3 months as children move through different levels mastering new concepts and skills. These assessments highlight and celebrate your child’s strengths as well as determine areas for growth, helping guide the next steps in your child’s learning journey.
When will you open your facility?
We plan to open the doors in the next 6 months and will update once we get closer. Fill out our interest form to keep up to date!
